Paradis is the title of Agora Collective´s work for its ongoing performance program Foreplay, program that brings together a performance artist and a Berlin based chef.
Taking the performative elements of a dining situation, the in-house collective: Marcela Donato, Renata Har and Caique Tizzi developed a piece that invites the guests to a twisted evening.
Part an installation, part a performance, Paradis is a dinner that collects food, text and sound experiments, declamations and allegorical acts that explore our relations with pleasure and utopia.

Chef for the evening:
Foreplay is Agora’s Performance series that promotes the collaboration of a Performance artist and a Berlin based chef. Its primary intention is to create proximity between the audience and the artists’ work by creating a familiar context, a dinner. This way the artist have the opportunity to translate his/her work into the dynamics of the traditional practice of dining, playing with its rules and elements to develop a direct dialogue to the burning questions driving his/her current creative process. The role of the chef is equally important in the event with its important contribution of aromas, textures and flavors that smoothly help to compose the evening.
Agora Collective is the in-house art collective of Agora. While it retains a small, core group – Marcela Donato, Renata Har and Caique Tizzi – an essential part of its process is to invite new collaborators according to the current project.
The group started its activities together with its project space in 2011 and had collaborated with many artists. Agora Collective has participated in groups and solo-exhibitions in Freies Museum, L´Atelier KSR, Instituto Cervantes Berlin, Saalbau Galerie and Agora.
