Adam Fearon “Yonder” – Artist’s Book Launch at Agora
“Yonder” is the title of the new project by the Irish artist Adam Fearon to be launched at Agora at 7pm on the 19th December 2013. Yonder – an Old English word that means “over there / in the distance”- suggests that which is out of reach, around the corner or not quite settled. The work is the product of a year of movement, transition and uncertainty. Thick layers of varnish turn the pages of the book dark and semi-transparent as images from his life bleed into those taken in his studio of sculptural sketches and abandoned works created during this provisional period.
For this launch in Berlin, the artist presents a limited number of this hand-made edition and extends its existence by occupying Agora’s top floor with an installation that expands “Yonder” sculpturally throughout the space.
